He's got through 3 this week.

I have cleaned the pound shop out and he now has 5 more, does anyone elses cat do this?

Or know somewhere to get multipacks of safety buckle collars?

I have 2 cats & only lost one collar in 5 months. Ours are Ancol, these sort.

RandomMess · 29/06/2012 17:31

I think a neighbour was taking them off our cat Angry

He came back, not hungry, not wet when it was pissing down and collarless same day it was put on.

My cat loses his collars all the time - it's so annoying. Especially as it means he can creep on me without me hearing him and give me the fright of my life!

Fluffycloudland77 · 29/06/2012 17:38

I see him rubbing against walls to snap the catch. Clever but annoying.

Random, do you think they were trying to tempt him away?

He is very soppy and loving and friendly, he had just had an op and been allowed back out - I wonder if they think he is there cat who the let out at night as we keep him in overnight!!!!

Who knows, he is microchipped and comes home at regular intervals to be fed during the day.

Fluffycloudland77 · 29/06/2012 17:43

Maybe they would consider splitting the vets bill!

You need to take him to the shop so he can choose a collar that he likes, OP. Maybe the ones you are buying are too 'last season' or are the wrong colour to bring out the colour of his eyes.

Will no-one think of the children cat??

RandomMess · 29/06/2012 17:47

I wish Fluffy, they clearly haven't had to rush countless song birds to the vets to either by put down or made better, worst of all was a whole nest full of fledgeling the bastard

Oh don't forget the rat complete with mousetrap attached...

Fluffycloudland77 · 29/06/2012 17:48

He does lose blue ones more than pink.

I have a selection of red, mustard, purple and green. Do you think it's the diamantes he's objecting to?

OP posts:
RandomMess · 29/06/2012 17:54

Possibly!

Perhaps he'd prefer ribbon decor?

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 29/06/2012 17:58

Diamantes? Not diamonds? [faints]

No wonder he keeps losing them.

Fluffycloudland77 · 29/06/2012 17:59

The diamantes spell out VIP

Microchip and dump the collar....problem solved..

Fluffycloudland77 · 29/06/2012 18:04

He is chipped, but some people dont think a cat is owned unless they have a collar on and I dont want him stolen.

Staple gun them to his floppy mummy carryfying bit of neck

Sparklingbrook · 29/06/2012 18:07

Sparkling Cat doesn't wear a collar. She lost 3 in a week. One had a beautifully engraved tag on in the shape of a fish. Angry

She is chipped, and looks like she has an owner. Smile

sashh · 30/06/2012 06:34

I microchip and don't have a collar.

teanosugar · 30/06/2012 14:24

Mine are chipped and don't wear collars.
Kitten definately wont be wearing one, he likes climbing the trees and conifers too much, and the neighbours know who he belongs to.
Fat old cat doesn't go out much anymore.
