We inherited our at about two years ago and until recently he had only brought in a couple of frogs but in the past 6 or so months he has gone mad and brought in several birds, both dead and alive, including two robins in one 10 minute period and a magpie, so not teeny presents either! He has also brought several mice, including a live one which we only discovered in the living room much later and which eluded us for two further days. I am not great at dealing with the birds although don't mind too much but I have a complete phobia about mice and am terrified about him bringing one upstairs or dropping it at my feet. So far, my husband has mostly been home but one day I turned up at the neighbour in tears to get her help.
Getting rid of the cat is not an option as I don't think ds2 would ever speak to me again but I spend so much time now either locking the cat in or out, checking where he is, jumping every time I hear the cat flap.
He has a bell on his collar and he is certainly not under-fed, if anything he needs to lose a bit of weight so I have no clue how he manages to move fast enough to catch anything.
Please does anyone have any ideas?
