Is it possible to buy worm/flea stuff cheaper on the internet and what's a good choice?

Hello! We've always used the combined stuff that you put on the back of cat's neck for our moggy (Frontline?) and the time has come to buy more - DH suggested checking out online pharmacies etc before buying it from the vet to save a bit of cash.

Are there sites that sell this kind of thing legitamately? I don't want to put the cat at risk with dodgy stuff for the sake of a few quid.

I use Medicanimal for Frontline, and also buy worming tablets on there (I use Drontal for suburbancat). All authentic products - not sure if cheaper as I've never bought them from the vet but the convenience of buying them online makes it a no brainer for me.

If you're sticking to Frontline, Asda now sell it much cheaper than the vets. Word of warning though, seems fleas are becoming increasingly resistant to Frontline so you may want to consider swapping to something else.

I use vetsuk and petmedit for advocate. You need a prescription off the vet for it as it worms and de-fleas. You need to know the weight of the cat as well.

Thank you everyone, I have been looking at Advocate this morning and thought I might as well just ring the vet and go buy it from there - I assume she would charge for writing a prescription and even if not I'd feel a bit cheeky taking up her time and then not buying from her. Surgery is not far away so easy enough to go and get the stuff.

I hadn't heard that about Frontline but will have a switch to be on the safe side!

I buy it (and Drontal wormers and dog food) from Petmeds.

I've used them for over two years now and never had a problem
