Will it kill my cat if I give him senior food?

ok I know it won't kill him, but I had a bit of a senior moment in the supermarket yesterday and bought senior cat food for my 18 month old cat. What's the difference between the senior stuff and normal cat food, if I give it to him will he get an upset tummy? He's looking a bit hungry now and we don't have a lot else in right now.

It's just a different formulation, less protein I think to protect an older cat's kidneys, probably different vitamin and mineral proportions too. He will be fine!

less protein, fewer calories as well.

Ok, so it might not fill him up much but it won't do anything much more than that to him, thanks. I'll buy ome more this afternoon but he was sniffing around looking very fed up earlier!

I'll do you a swap! I bought a bag of normal biscuits for my old codger cats at which they turned up a collective nose (and made a definite cat's bum signal, come to think of it). They will only eat senior food now - seems my brain is going the same way

I was just about to post about moving my two boys on from kitten to normal cat food.
What age do you think is a good one? They are about 9 months old now.
