Our insurance company is not insuring animals anymore after February. Can anyone recommend any company that will insure and elderly cat please?

FABCat is 17 and poorly so our chance of getting an insurer is probably minimal but would appreciate any advice please.

It is LLyods TSB who are no longer going to insure any animals if you are insured with them for your pet.

More Than will insure your kitty. I put in for a quote using my 16 year old cat as an example and it came back between £23-£29 pm depending on which policy you choose.
They'll cover you even if your cat's not well but any pre-existing stuff won't be covered, which is standard practice.
For the record my insurance (Petplan) is £20 pm so not much more.
Good Luck.

I would have thought that if they decided to stop insuring they would have offered a link to a company that would. Seems quite odd just to leave you high and dry without offering an alternative company to take over.

Good luck in getting something for FABCat

i hope you find someone who will. I knew about insurance companies not insuring for existing conditions, but I never knew until recently that many won't insure over a certain age.

I couldn't find anyone to insure our elderly cat, we just put £20 a month into a pot and hope it will cover most of anything we need to pay out for. It doesn't. Sad
