My 9month old kitten has a lump on his lower lip, any experience?

Saw it first this morning. He stays in at night, so it's come up overnight.

If it doesn't start to go down by wednesday i'll go to the vet, but just wondered about it.
He's a black cat, and the lip is black so can't tell what colour it is, it's hard and about 1cm across.

He has been off his wet meat the last couple days but he's very fussy too, but is mad and lively in himself.

My cat had a grass seed in his lip which caused a lump like that. The vet pulled it out and it was fine.

Or it could be an abcess, one of my lovely cats is very prone to these, although usually caused by him being bitten or scratched by one of the others. Not very pleasant when the vet matter of factly squeezes all the muck out!!
