I have a Bengal neutered male (who is more trouble than my all my previous 5 cats put together) who has been periods of vomiting, he did it monday and tuesday night so I took him to the vet yesterday. He was bringing up food but clear fluid as well.

Each time we go to the vets and he has that injection that really stings. He had has 3rd last night (he seems to be getting used to it poor bugger) but today he isnt much better. He hasnt been sick again but he only had one bowl of chicken this morning but nothing since. I was at work today so I dont know if he has drunk anything since last night.

They also gave him an anti-inflammatory injection and a weeks supply of Clavaseptin 50mg 1.5 twice a day. But it he isnt eating and I am reluctant to shove it down his throat like I would have done with my other cats (mainly because he looks so miserable and weak).

Normally he's fine the next morning but apart from not vomiting all over his bed he's not better. Still not bounding round the house and shouting at us.

What should I do? give it a couple of days? how much food is enough to keep his body going? He's 5.25kg but not fat just muscular.

I think I worry more with this cat because the change when he is ill with this vomiting is so dramatic compared to placid breeds such as Chinchillas.

I am fretting a bit now. I put advocate on him tonight because last week he was very hungry but wouldnt take his wormer so I do worry maybe he has a worm infestation.

Any advice would be very welcome.

If he is not much better I would take him back.

If he checks out okay I would suggest tempting him with tuna, pilchards and hot cooked chicken off the counter.
