Will my cat drink enough if she only has dried food?

We have 2 lovely 6 month old kitties. The vet recommended feeding them a good quality dried food instead of wet. They both loved the food& less litter tray changes needed, so far fo good. However one of them doesn't seem to drink water which worries me. Will she naturally drink what she needs to be healthy?

Perhaps the one who doesn't appear to drink is slurping from a tap, or drinking from rain puddles outside? Some cats like to drink from running taps, or prefer rain water to tap water. Some won't drink from a stainless steel dish because they can see their reflection, or from a deep dish because their whiskers brush the sides. Some prefer not to have water next to their food dishes as they don't naturally drink and eat at the same time.

I would put the water separately from food, try gathering rain water to bring inside, pour tap water into a container and let it stand to get rid of any chlorine smell, consider buying a cat drinking 'fountain' where the water is kept circulating and can be drunk from the trickling water.

I had this problem at first but my cats, when they got thristy, drank. They won't let themselves die of thirst.

Put a couple of extra water bowls down. We have one on the landing and one just outside the back door. Sometimes cats won't drink from the bowl next to their food.

I have a water fountain like this for mine as my old boy had to drink lots of water and this encouraged him to do so. I do keep it away from the food. That said they all prefer a puddle or the pond.

Cats have a low thirst drive so won't necessarily drink enough.

I give mine a mixture of wet and dry foods during the day.

I also provide water, but I know for a fact that my eldest cat drinks absolutely nothing at all because I've monitored her and she's just not interested.

I did have a catit water fountain before that one but it was a bugger to clean although a lot cheaper to buy. I caught my ceramic one I linked too when zooplus had them on offer as they're quite pricey.
