please tell me how often i should clean cat litter out?

Thats it really. i have one adult cat, try and clean it fully every other day although doesn't always happen.

We scoop out poos immediately if we are there, otherwise as soon as we notice. Change the whole thing probably twice a week I guess.

Ok that sounds doable.

I use Catsan and they tell you to scoop poo out on the day and replace all the litter once a week. It works well - but if I have ever noticed a pong in high summer I replace litter anyway there and then.

poos as soon as you notice. remove clumps at the same time. change the rest when it smells, 1 -2 x a week. If you can send cat to do it's "business" outside. Ours will not use her tray. Keeps her legs crossed till I let her out, which can be 14 hours over night at the weekend. Still keep the tray available, but haven't changed it in a couple or months. You can get the tray liner bags in pound land: £1 for 24 which is much cheaper than the pet shop. Makes it an easy job.
