Our little cat was hit by a car and died. We broke the news to our dds on saturday. DD2 was upset but still young enough not to be too badly affected by it. The cat really belonged to dd1 who's 7. She loved her so much and has been completely devastated since. She has just cried herself to sleep. I can't stand seeing her in so much pain. How can I help her? She is due to go back to school tomorrow but doesn't want to in case she starts crying at school. She is such a sensitive little girl I really don't know how she is going to cope.

I am so sorry to hear about your cat Sad. When we have lost an animal, the children have all cried buckets, and us too, and the only thing islots of hugs and talk about the cat as much as she wants too.

School will ohpefully take her mind off it.

In time a kitten? Some amy be against this, but we were devastated when we lost our cat last year and within a month we had 2 kittens. Never a replacement but brough joy back into the house.
