her spaying op went fine, but he was told we should feed her chicken and rice (or expensive prescription pet food) tonight. So assuming (for some reason) that we would have chicken at home he refused the offer to add a tin of pate de foie gras covered in thinly beaten sheets of gold to his bill and brought her home so I could lovingly cook her some chicken and rice.
But all that is on offer chez Palliser tonight is pasta bake. I am off out to two back to back meetings in half an hour and won't have time to go to Tesco and buy chicken.
Can we really not give her Whiskas? What will happen if she doesn't have handminced chicken mixed with the finest Basmati rice?

our cat had her op about 3 weeks ago and didn't want to eat anything that evening, wouldn't waste your time doing anything posh! Sure normal food will be fine.

No frozen fish, but yes to tuna. Good plan. Though HOW the poor little thing is going to eat with that great big ruff round her head is another matter. Getting the boys done was much less of a big deal.

Well she is currently playing her favourite game of beating up her great-uncle Orlando who is four times her size, so I guess she'll be fine.

Honestly, her normal food will be fine!

bland food (aka chicken and rice) is suggested purely as the stress of the op can cause squitty bums, and bland food helps prevent/allivate that. Thats the only reason :)
