How long before I take my kitten to the vet again?

Hello,

I have a lovely 5 month old kitten, picked her up from the Rspca last wed, when I got there and was filling the forms in etc they mentioned she had the runs, was on meds and it should clear up.

She is still going about 7/8 times a day, and it's still very runny. She's clean and goes in her tray (1 or 2 suprises in the washing pile, but that may have been because it was a bit noisy downstairs) but it smells terrible, hurts my throat! It must be horrible awful for her.

She can't eat meat apparently, so I've just been giving her the biscuits she was on there.

2 days of pills left.

Should I take her to the vet?

This won't last forever will it?!

If it is not improving with the meds they gave you then I would see a vet again.

Thanks Lizcat, seems no better still today, so I'll take her tomorrow.

I know this is terrible, but I was hoping not to have to take her out, because she'll definately poo in her carrier.
She did on the way home when I picked her up, poor thing, and I had to wash her as soon as she arrived at her new house

She's on science plan sensitive now, but as it doesn't seem to help, and she has the runs anyway I'll give the Royal Canin a go.

The vet did say it was a meat intolerance, so hopefully it is just a matter of finding the right diet then.

Glad your kitten is better now lara. It does feel a bit overwhelming, it's just poo, but somehow feels exhausting (if that makes any sense?!)

She's on Antepsin korma, had the last one yesterday.

She seems happy enough, so hopefully it looks and smells worse than it feels!

Just wanted to pop back and say Thankyou so much for the Royal Canin recommendation!

Lily (my kitten) today did her first proper poo since I've had her- I may have been even more excited by it than when DS potty trained!
