Can I feed my kitties the day they are spayed??

But I have realised the vets have not told me whether I can feed them before hand etc.

They are due to be dropped off at 10am.

I know I can ring vets, but just thought I might get quicker answers on here

They need to be starved from the night before, so I'd give them a nice big dinner about 8/9, then only water after that. Hope that helps

Usually the protocol is no food after 7pm the night before the op. It's not a drastic problem if they've had food later than this just take the bowl up now and don't let them out so they can hunt! Oh and don't let anyone feed them in the morning how ever much they whine!

I think you are thinking of dilemma although I think our kittens are the same age IIRC.

Yes water is fine.
Its usually 12 hours of starving, If you're taking them in at 10, they'll probably be operated on 11am at the very earliest.
I wouldn't worry to much about the exact time as long as it's not past 10/11
