I'll start - I'm hoping that someone will do better than an infernal wood pigeon and obnoxious noisy herring gull. Before the morning is up, hopefully.

And remember, cast ne'er a clout til May be out.

Oh over there they can be MASSIVE! Take a look at <a class="break-all" href="http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?q=ocean+sunfish&hl=en&client=safari&sa=X&rls=en&biw=1007&bih=640&tbm=isch&prmd=imvns&tbnid=LIDf2Dlj7AonMM:&imgrefurl=australianmuseum.net.au/Transfer/ToGalleryItem/%3Fid%3D6012%26path%3Dimage/Southern-Ocean-Sunfish-Mola-ramsayi&docid=tXY-3Rp_mDMI5M&imgurl=australianmuseum.net.au/Uploads/Images/3884/glen%252520sunfish_big.jpg&w=526&h=404&ei=1sXHT6-PFcj80QWpmfmZDw&zoom=1&iact=rc&dur=360&sig=100729357902416538135&page=3&tbnh=144&tbnw=187&start=34&ndsp=19&ved=1t:429,r:2,s:34,i:167&tx=140&ty=50" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">this sucker (though I don't know where this one washed up)

Ours are tiddlers in comparison - the largest one I've seen was a mere 80cm or so long.

Is anyone starting a June thread? I'm just getting into this! Grin
Today, I have seen a green woodpecker, and a little owl.

An Ocean Sunfish for fecks sake! Good grief, just looked at the link. We get those? In Cornwall?

I can't see anything anymore as there is so much blood greenery.

But the smell of the Hawthorn is postively fabulous.

GrimmaTheNome · 01/06/2012 08:57

iseenodust · 01/06/2012 11:00

Wow at the sunfish spot. I'd never heard of those before.

hello ,just returned from Portugal and wild life to be seen IN OUR ROOM was two giant cockroaches and a grasshopper, nothing unusual you may think but we were three floors up ! We spotted little lizards amongst the rocks and then came across a massive ants nest which i was fascinated by because they were big ants and their eggs were black !!
