Flora or Fauna.

Extra points for a photo.

Handicap will apply to those in Forrin. Monthly win will not automatically go to, for example, a Cougar spot. The Cougar will need to be doing something awesome, like fighting a bear or doing sudoku.

qatada if there are no rules then monthly nature Top Trumps just goes to ruin in an anarchy of nature spots. And then where would we all be?

OP posts:
AIBUqatada · 06/03/2012 19:15

We would be HAPPY, running barefoot through nature's plenty, feeling the grass between our toes, without the tyranny of rules or technical socks.

Slubberdegullion · 06/03/2012 19:22

yeah mmm

OR

the naked liberated nature game play gamboling would quickly deteriorate into an aggressive free for all of top spots that possibly posters hadn't even seen but overheard from a bloke in the pub in 1987 "that time when I saw a golden eagle take on an otter".

Lord of the Flies it would be.

A copper-coloured calf. Many, many lambs. And a rabbit, nibbling things beside the river.

I know the suspense will be getting to you, but I can confirm that it is indeed highly likely that April will bring a slightly bigger copper-coloure calf, some slightly bigger lambs, and a slightly fatter bunny.

Slubberdegullion · 06/03/2012 20:11

You could jazz the scene up a bit Northey, you know with the lambs at the front and the copper coloured calf out back in the river, with rabbits at stage left.

Oh but poor mother copper cow, watching her baby trapped in the river! Did I mention there was a mother copper cow (she seemed less interesting, and a definite no-hopper against sudoku cougar)? Not to mention the black and white teen cow. A bit of a blended cow family, I think.

Northey · 06/03/2012 20:19

No hoper. If she'd shown signs of hopping I'd have nominated her in a flash.

AIBUqatada · 06/03/2012 20:20

Oh so slightly time-elapsed spots are not ok, but "jazzing up the scene" is positively encouraged. Lord of the Flies is putting it mildly.

Slubberdegullion · 06/03/2012 20:21

Not trapped in the river although that would be quite exciting no stood in the river, like in the Haywain.

Grin @ blended cow family. v 2012.

No no. Obv lies are right out. What I mean is work your presentation trump diorama. Lambs, calf, rabbits is all well and good but a really well described British Spring time scene is going to score well with the judges.

Who are the judges going to be anyway?

OP posts:
Northey · 06/03/2012 20:29

Steep banks, slubber, and torrential waters. It's perilous on the Wye, you know. There would be some heart-rending lowing.

Possibly black and white teen cow could push him in, maddened by step-sibling jealousy.

Slubberdegullion · 06/03/2012 20:33
Shock

It's better than East Enders. Heart-rending lowing v dramatic.

OP posts:
Northey · 06/03/2012 20:38

Yes! Teen cow is Janine, obviously, and the calf is poor tragic Barry (if only he'd been wearing slip on cow shoes!). The lambs are all the silent extras in the market. The rabbit is Ian Beale (it looked like him).

Northey · 06/03/2012 20:38

Take this, Sudoku Cougar!

We had a bumble bee in the living room today: no idea how it got in, as this was before all the windows were flung open today! Removed Carefully on a cereal box with 3yo in close attendance :)

SeaShellsDreamingOfSummer · 06/03/2012 20:52

Fishandjam · 06/03/2012 21:08

Little egret on way to work (that is, I was on my way to work - the egret was just stooging about). In Darkest Cambridgeshire.

CavemanDave · 06/03/2012 21:10

I don't imagine I shall win this with my clouds and bees

SeaShellsDreamingOfSummer · 06/03/2012 21:27

Hmmm indoorsy shite is sparkly twigs and shit. I think we need an 'outdoorsy shite inside' subcategory to this competition to avoid confusion with statement wallpaper grin]
