Aww my girl had some diarrhea Friday and was pacing Friday night. Saturday picked up and seemed ok. More pacing and shaking Sat night / Sunday morning. Emergency vet prescribed pain relief. No diarrhea since Fri and no vomiting. She slept well last night.

Today is sleeping but cautious with stairs, not jumping. After rice / chicken small meal (including pain relief) she is shaking a lot for about 30 mins and sitting up, then stops, seems ok and goes to sleep. Is very worrying when it happens.

Spoke to my own vet earlier and he said if not better tomor afternoon bring her in. Such a worry. Thinking to give her tiny portions of food. She has had bad tummy before but this is going on a bit. Any advice or experience??

Made worse by her getting very stressed at vet visits.

Thank you

Apart from the diarrhea she sounds like she has hurt her back if she is finding stairs difficult to negotiate. Shaking/pacing sounds pain related to me. Did the vet examine her back and neck. Could she have a prolapsed disc maybe?

Thanks @HangryBrickShark the pain she has comes on when she eats. I’m going to see how she manages this morning but then prob take her to vet this afternoon. She slept ok. Stomach gargling a bit.

What is she eating. There are a few things that BTs seem prone to which can be exacerbated by food.
CECS or Spikes disease or gallbladder mucocele. Helped by low fat gluten and grain free food.

Thanks. Vet said pancreatitis. On antibiotics & painkillers. Normally she has ‘Pure pet food’ salmon…
