Puppy name help needed

[ItallwentwrongwhenBowieleft]

Hoping you lovely people can help.
I’m retiring in November and getting my first dog, a female English toy terrier.
I’ve wanted a dog all my life but work & raising 4 DDs made life too busy.
I’m beyond excited, she’ll be arriving in November, but I’m stuck for a name.
She’s black & tan, when grown will be fine boned, small, elegant, fast & intelligent.
Random photo from internet for reference as it’s not a well known breed 😊

My list so far:

Stevie - after the great Ms Nicks
Nyx - ditto
Piper
Star/Lady stardust - would love a Bowie reference
Ziggy
Coco
Pixie
Scout

Any suggestions?

Genie ( Jean Genie)
I like Ziggy too
Two syllable names are good for a dog.
Congratulations on your retirement and your puppy. Lots of great advice on here.
You certainly won’t be bored.

According to Google, Bowie inspired names are:
Angel
Betty
Gloria
Hermione
Jane
Janine
Jean
Julie
Liza
Lucy
Lily
Rebel
Rose
Rosalind
Thursday

I like Bowie and Ziggy too, but feel they are more suited to males.

Dolly - after Dolly Parton

Thank you, after 27years teaching I can’t wait to devote all my time to my puppy

Eight Line Poem from Hunky Dory
" Clara puts her head between her paws."

Hunky Dory is my favourite Bowie album & Clara would suit her well.
Thank you so much, that’s now at the top of my list 😊

It's a lovely name. I was tempted to use it myself . I also put my puppy's name out for suggestions on a Facebook group. I ended up with over 500 choices. 🫣. I chose a name that ends with "a". It feels nice to call out, not gruff at all. Good luck with your baby whatever name you decide on.

Rolo

A gorgeous dog. 😍 Is she a Lancashire Heeler?

I've been amused lately by people naming their dogs after famous (probably favourite) people.
I can't recall which celeb it was but they had a very cute sandy coloured spaniel and named him George Michael.

Just googled, shes definitely not a heeler, they are stockier and she is much more elegant.

She’s an English Toy terrier.
Very old English breed, only 50-100 pups born a year.

Ziggy

Jet

Awww, you will be absolutely smitten once you get her!
I got my first ETT this year, and she’s amazing

Lulu

Gorgeous pup and happy retirement.

Love Ziggy as a name.

Perfect.
