Labrador-proof bin for the kitchen, does it exist?

We’ve been putting our rubbish into a small work top bin then decanting into the big bin which we keep in another room. Is there a bin which which would stop our Hoover Lab getting into it? We put our food waste into the food bin but occasionally bits get put into the main bin.

Why is there no photo of the dog doing his best Daily Mail sad face next to the kitchen bin with this thread??

Ours (flatcoat, not lab, but same tendencies) pretty much leaves ours alone. It's the rectangular simple human with the push bar on the top, but I suspect he mostly leaves it alone because we really don't put any food in any more.

He had the best week of his life (before we learned that lesson) when we got a new motion activated bin.

I gave the simplehuman lockable bin after my dog started bin raiding..not sure why..she's 7, just started doing it! Arse!

Reading this with a smile. The labrador bin raider! Cousin of the labrador counter surfer.
I have neither of those. I got the labrador poo scavenger! However, he won’t eat his own poo.
