Dog Blaster... yay or nay?

I have a double coated Eurasier... maximum fluff level! Her coat is a pain when it starts to shed. We do use a groomer every few months but I would really like to be able to keep her nice in between. She tolerates showers when needed and I usually dry her with my Dyson hairdryer but it's not very effective!
I'm thinking of getting a dog blaster but would love some recommendations please!

I have no answers as mine is still a puppy and hasn’t grown her adult coat yet, but I just wanted to say hi as I also have a Eurasier and they’re so rare I’m excited to meet someone else who has one.

If I have to hear “But wasn’t that an 80s band?” one more time….

Leonberger owner here… I’d highly recommend a blaster - great for getting dead coat out in the great spring shed but also great for drying. I’d get one sooner rather than later as they are noisier than a hairdryer by some distance and your dog will want to get used to it. Mine is 9+ years old now and still going strong. Think I paid £100ish for it on Amazon. It’s also useful for inflating things like air mattresses etc.

I've had a look back at my Amazon and eBay purchase histories but unfortunately it's so long ago that it's disappeared from my lists.

It's just a basic one though, I think it was only about £50, although this must have been about 12 years ago now that I think about it. It's fluffed up many dogs here (currently in use for our Chow Chow) and DH also uses it to blast his motorbike dry after he's washed it!

The first time I used it I was just kind of flicking the air in the general direction of whichever dog we had at the time to let her get used to it (it is really noisy). It's so powerful that it blasted a small framed picture off the wall!

I have one and I love it. I had a labrador of my own who regularly got muddy, and have various customer dogs who roll in shit, so it gets used a lot. I was tipped over the edge by a goldie who was with me for three weeks last year and got muddy every single walk. I bought a raised bath tub and the dryer and never looked back.

Get one with a temperature control and velocity control.

I bought this one at the end of last year, it’s really powerful and dries my 2 cockerpoos really quickly.

I have this one. Had it for years, used every week as my breed (I show)has very long hair. It’s never let me down. Tiny so takes up little space but it’s very powerful, have no complaints at all about it.

1clavdivs congrats! They are wonderful dogs... my girl is 7 now . Very independent minded at times and quite opinionated but the best family dog ever.
Get used to the most ridiculous 'what breed is your dog' guesses...
We've had 'is that a giant Pomeranian?' and the best ever..'That's a Pekinese!' (WTF??!)
Mine has the pure black tongue and we are always asked if she's been eating liquorice....!
