Puppy barking at people walking past my caravan

I’ve just got a caravan on a really lovely site.
The only problem is the front windows face towards the road, and my 9 month old poodle puppy is barking like crazy at anyone walking past.

We currently have the curtains pulled, but that’s not really a long term solution.
I’m assuming this is anxiety? He’s not reactive at all anywhere else- he’s very friendly and loves meeting people and dogs and never barks at them.

What training approach to I need to use to improve this behaviour?

You need to work on voluntary disengagement, the same way you would with guests and a hyperactive puppy or people walking on the street, and you need to pair this with a cue for a safe space the dog can retreat to, and if your dog has to get on the sofa to see out of the window, stop them from being allowed on the couch.

If it's only a view of the road, I'd put privacy film on the windows to stop the dog from being able to see out.

It's not "anxiety" - it's a dog and this is what dogs do. And very bloody irritating it is too.

It's a territory thing - he's guarding his property, and he's learned that if he barks, the unknown person who may present a threat then walks away (or at least, that's how he perceives it). Stop him looking out and practise 'place' or 'quiet' followed by lots of praise and treats. Poodles and doodles are prone to this behaviour.
