Today's the day

We have made the horrendous decision that it's time to say goodbye to our dog. She's 14, has dementia, sight and hearing loss and howls when we leave her for the shortest period of time - 10 minutes. She also is having mobility issues.
I've tried to call the vet twice this morning and got their message saying they're all busy.
I feel sick. I'm going to try again and try to hold it together.
This is so hard.

I know that feeling well. It's so hard. We chose a vet to come to us. If you can afford it that might be a better option. Hand hold for you.

Today was the day for us. Our beautiful beloved 11 year old boxer dog Daisy was PTS this morning at home. We had the vet come to us. I am absolutely consumed with grief, guilt and the biggest sense of loss than I can imagine. Everything feels tainted and I don’t know how to do life without her. I don’t know what to do with myself, this hurts so so badly 💔

Sending you a handhold OP, it's such a tough decision, but as the saying goes, it's better a month too early than a day too late. You are doing the kindest and bravest thing for your dear dog.

I'm so sorry OP :( she's so lucky to have someone who loves her so much to make the right decision for her.

I just wanted to come and say sorry. We had to say goodbye to my soul dog almost two weeks ago and it’s deeply raw. I hope your pup had a peaceful passing and you’re looking after yourself.
