So I have a 3 year old French bulldog I had to take him to the vets a couple of days ago as I noticed he was suffering from what I thought ear infection / allergies he was given drops in both ears as they was inflamed and given steroids (prednisone) he’s been on them since yesterday and today I’ve noticed that he’s been sick twice is this a normal side effects for these steroids I have an appointment at the vets for tomorrow evening just a little bit worried as haven’t experienced this before he’s weeing and going a poo as normal it’s just him being sick any advice I would much appreciate

The steroids can upset their tummies. Vet will most likely give omeprazole to line the stomach before. I have a beagle with allergies who has the same issue

Not sure if it’s the steroid so best to check him out. My late dog was on prednisone daily all her life for Addisons Disease but never had a problem with it. However every dog is different and maybe the vet has a different medication if your dog is reacting negatively to the drug.
