Sausage dog with itchy rash on neck and side

Help, my sausage dog has a rash on the side of her neck. She seems irritated by it and keeps scratching. She also has a similar patch like this on her side just by her leg. Any ideas what it could be please? 😢

We’ve booked her into the Vets for Thursday morning.

Have you taken her through any stubble fields recently?

No I haven’t but I have put her on a new dog food so I’m worried it is an allergic reaction. 😔

My dog gets a rash like this when he eats chicken.

Give her a wash with just plain cool water no shampoo no soap and dry her off
Just in case it's a reaction to something she's walked through and it's still on her fur

Definitely speak to your vet it could be environmental, a reaction to the new food or something else entirely

It looks like it's in the folds of her neck?

How long did you take to transition to the new food?
Has it got different protein sources to what she was on before?

Update: took her to the vet and they’ve advised it’s an allergic reaction. She’s now on steroids for a week, bless her. I’ve also changed her food back to previous one. X

Interesting. She’s fine on normal chicken. Must be something in the dog food (Scrumbles)
