She was working springer only small we rescued her when she was 11 months old her legs had gone in the end and I was carrying her up and down to the garden I know I’ve done the right thing but part of you’re soul dies as well x

I would love to see a picture of Belle she sounds amazing. And you absolutely did the right thing.

Awww, what a beauty! The goodest girl. I’m sorry for your loss OP, it takes a little bit of your heart doesn’t it? All I can say is, I’ve done this too many times, but eventually you start finding yourself looking back and remembering them with a smile and a warm fuzzy feeling rather than the devastation. Be kind to yourself 🌺

We know deep down, that we will all come to have to face this one day, OP and nothing takes the pain away. I rationalise it a little by knowing that the deep, painful, hurt we suffer is purely reflective of the unconditional love and bond we have shared for many happy years, with our special friends ❤️

I'm so sorry OP. Belle was gorgeous and a magnificent age for a springer. I also have a springer, they are very special dogs.
