Handheld hoover recommendations for Labrador hair

We’re getting a new Labrador puppy & I’m aware how much labs shed, so any recommendations for hand held hoovers to pick up dog hair would be appreciated, thanks!

I've got the Gtech one, dark grey and hi-viz green with the pawprint. Brilliant to clear the furry patches this time of year and when clumps collect. It was expensive but worth it.

Main vacuum cleaner is Miele Cat and Dog, dating from before the EU ruled out high power vacs (bought it when the law was being talked about but not used immediately).

I’ve got a Bosch one that comes with two batteries, it’s brilliant at picking up dog hair and relatively quiet (a lot of dogs don’t like the sound of vacuum cleaners)

I have a Bosch Unlimited. Can't recall which model at the moment and it's generally great. Sometimes hair clumps in it which needs removing as it blocks the sensor, but I've found the rubber broom to be a great help. Quick run over with the rubber broom gets the worst sorted, dustpan and brush into the bin, then a run around with the Bosch.

The motorised head on it cleans in both directions, many of the battery vacuums only clean in one direction.

I look after dogs, so hair is a constant battle.

I've got a hand held Vax which is brilliant. Indeed it is better than the Miele cat and dog which is a clumsy bastard.

we have a hand held Shark but if you can stretch the budget have you thought about a robot vacuum? ours goes out nightly and makes such a difference.

I use a Dyson v11 but a really good first line of defence is getting a deshedding tool. It’s been an absolute game changer for us.

Robot hoover was invaluable before DPup came along as it stopped the hair before it got a chance to gather in corners and under furniture. Unfortunately DPup (also a Labrador and in general an absolute angel) is hysterically excited by the hoover so I can only use it for short periods, or when we're out the house.

Otherwise we have the G-Tech K-9 handheld which is pretty good.

I have to say though (and it pains me greatly) that I've had the most success with regular daily grooming from day 1. We've got it almost perfected now and it takes less than 5 minutes. We've also had a puppy groom with a view to regular grooming in the future to blow his coat out

what do you use for grooming?

A puppy brush with lots of small, thin, softish spikes (I'll try and find a link) a rubber slicker and very gentle use of a Furminator.

I assume that by alternating them and doing it little and often it's having the desired effect because there's really not as much hair about as I was expecting
