Fleas! How to clean up properly

I’ve just babysat a lovely dog for a week, I had it up on the sofa with me and it slept on my bed - felt cute at the time. But I noticed the damn thing has fleas! Owners back from holiday and picked him up today and I’m in the process of boil washing my bedding, cushion covers, clothes.
How do I properly clean my sofa, carpets, rugs and mattress? I’ve hoovered them, but is that enough? Google tells me there will be flea eggs. Should I spray with something?

Mine got fleas years ago. Clean the entire house and spray from top to bottom. And I mean too top to bottom. The vet reminded me to clean behind and in the radiators and under the bed etc. any tiny crack. Clean it. Then do it again and again and again. I did this for over a week and they went. But they get everywhere.

also clean your car if you have one.
