Canicross beginner

Hi,
Bit of a niche question but hopefully someone on here can help. I'm super unfit and doing the c25k currently with one or a couple of my dogs free running. I'd really like to get into canicross (it's far easier to motivate myself to exercise if the dogs get something out of it!) but can't decide whether I should get a certain level of fitness running solo first before introducing the canicross element or if I might as well introduce them into canicross and do the c25k together.
Or if it doesn't make a difference and I need to stop overthinking it 🤣
Also any beginner canicross tips would be appreciated!
Thanks 🐾

They'll get a better run off lead so I'd stick with that for now. Also depending on your dogs, if they are "good" at canicross and pull, then that's a lot of extra strain on your body when it's trying to get stronger and used to running. It's very easy to overcompensate and injure yourself.

Thank you that's a really good point about the strain on the body. One of mine used to do it with my old housemate so will pull and he's not a small dog. Will keep them off for now and maybe when I start use my smaller dogs and work my way up 🤣
