Anyone had a Great Dane from a puppy..
Can you tell me a bit about how easy or hard they were to train ,did they respond well to training classes ?
How far can they walk / how much exercise
What was the cost of pet insurance
I've never crate trained ,and never will .
I'm home practically all day bar a few hours exercising in a morning
This will be my 4 th dog that is my sole responsibility
But my 7 th dog I've lived with .
So I kind of know a bit about dogs ..but nothing about this breed
Just thinking about it at the moment..
life is short ,and this is a breed I've always wanted to own .
.but maybe I'm being unrealistic..
so I need to give it lots of thought.

We had a few. They need very little exercise as they are known for having bad hearts therefore we did multiple short walks rather than one long walk. They ate a lot and their food and water had to be given to them on top of a chair as they are so tall eating off the floor can cause complications. We had two males who could be very nasty but the females were very soft. Pet insurance cost a fortune, I won’t lie.

Were the males nasty because they were litter mates ?
Or just didn't get on together?
I've read a bit ,and what I read was that it is a very soft breed and good for family ..but you wouldn't recommend a male ?
