Can anyone recommend a cheap body camera for dog walking?

My dog got attacked again today. I saw a man approaching with two dogs and put mine on the lead as she has a tendency to jump up at people. He didn’t put his on and while my dog is walking next to me, these two dogs came racing up to her and started growling, barking, snapping etc. I picked my dog up and they carried on until I kicked them away. Owner told me they only act that way with my dog 🤦🏼‍♀️
I was shocked and frightened and this happens a lot. My dog is small and super friendly but is constantly being attacked by larger aggressive dogs.
If I’d had camera footage I could have reported him but of course it all happened so fast I was only interested in getting my dog to safety rather than pulling my phone out!!
Can anyone recommend a clip on camera that I can record my walks with so I’ve got evidence if it happens again?

You can get a GoPro cam and strap it to you or the dog. You'd probably be better off putting it on you, rather than your dog, because if they are very little the perspective might be skewed in the event of an incident.

Yeah I think it would need to be strapped to me. I thought about a GoPro but they’re a bit expensive. I might look for a second hand one, thanks.

We have a new puppy (5 months old) having lost our old dog 2 years ago and had a break from dog ownership.

Incidents like this seem really common now 😫We had the odd bad experience with our old dog, but everywhere we go now with our puppy there seems to be off lead, out of control dogs!

Not sure if there are just more dogs or if letting them off despite them having no recall or manners has just become normal? If I say 'can you call your dog as puppy is training/learning and doesn't want to play right now' (or be jumped on boisterously by your dog with no manners) quite a few people have acted like I am the arsehole and made comments about 'letting dogs play'.

Hope your little dog is ok. The camera sounds a good idea but not sure how much action would be taken?

Yeah, I was told it was only my dog, but then found half the dogs in the village bore the scars. If he knows it's only your dog he should do something about it.

I don’t know what’s going on either. I’ve had my dog for 9 years and the amount of times she’s been attacked is ridiculous. I’ve been called a stupid bitch for picking her up once when she was actually bleeding. He said his dog was playing. I’ve been knocked to the ground and was then told her dog was ‘annoying everyone today’. I’ve had a dog come running up to us, covering me in mud to be told it’s ok, it’s their birthday. I’m genuinely baffled. My dog isn’t aggressive but she is giddy so I put her on the lead every time I see someone coming.
The man today told me he’d asked me if I wanted him to put his dogs on their leads. I don’t know if he did or didn’t as I had headphones in (I was on a phone call). But seriously, why should I be the one to make the decision about HIS dogs?!
Had an out of control dog a few weeks ago and the owner was barking orders at me to tell their dog to get down ‘in a stern voice’ and to stand still etc. I just looked at her in amazement and suggested she took control of her own dog 😂
We just seem to be surrounded by people who will not take any accountability for their dogs’ behaviour!

I did wonder this! It made for an awkward walk when we bumped into each other again and had to follow each other through the village 😂

I use an insta 360. They aren't cheap, but they are very good.

Akaso ek7000 59.99 on amazon. Comes with loads of attachments an i have a neck strap that can attach the camera.you can also get cheap chest straps.

Sound not so great but the video is great. I have not used the strap yet, just used it for recording my training.

I am also quite sad as have got a dog harness to attach it on as I want to see my dogs view when she runs a hoopers course.
