Which Crufts tickets?

I’m thinking of going to Crufts on Saturday, to see if I can chat to breeders because we’re hopefully getting our first dog in a few years and also to check out any agility which is happening too. Is the general entry good enough, or is the general entry with fast track what you need to get to see anything when you’re there?

General entry is fine if you get in the queue for the arena early enough, before about 1:30/2pm, any later and the queue can be incredibly long, think 1 hour +, I'm not sure if fast track might be new so can't comment on that. Have a great time though, it's a fab day out!

Thanks, I’ve just bought normal tickets. Or rather my husband did because AXS is convinced I’m a bot!

Discover Dogs hall is a wonderful way to meet literally hundreds of breeds.
We went 7 years ago, with a vague idea of what sort of dog we might want...middle sized, wolfy face: met a breed we had never heard of, and bingo... we've had our girl for over 6 years now! (And she is wolfy looking :D )

The Discover Dogs hall is what I’m really looking forward to! I have in my head I’d love a Japanese Spitz. What dog did you go for in the end? @Sonolanona

General is fine and you’ll spend most your time in discover dogs. Nice one doing your research and speaking to breeders 👏 it’s a great day too.

Absolutely come along early. Saturday and Sunday is mega busy. If you can get in and see what you want before mid to late morning you should be ok. Beyond that you can still see plenty but getting around will be time consuming. Keep in mind to get between halls, say 5 and 1, it’s easier to leave, get your hand stamped and come back in.

We have a Eurasier 🙂 ( also a Spitz type) She's been wonderful from the day we got her, a perfect companion!

Update: I had an incredible day. We saw some of the showing, caught a few things in the main arena at 11am (we walked in, but the queue was an hour long when we left!!) and had a wonderful time in the Discover Dogs section and we're fully sold on a Japanese spitz. Though if I win Euromillions on Tuesday I'll have a menagerie of dog breeds. Every dog there was such a good dog, it was amazing. People breaking every dog greeting rule, getting their faces, squealing over them and they were all so chilled about it!

I might go again in couple of years when the toy/utility groups are on Thursday so hopefully it's a bit less mental.

The classes are rotated every year, so you don’t get the same group judged on the same days. So if the Toys were judged on a Thursday this year, they may be judged on a Friday next year, for example.

Toy and Utility were on Saturday this year.
