I’ve seen a lot of adverts on line regarding cleaning dogs teeth. We buy the Tesco denta sticks which is adores and he has kibble so his teeth aren’t too bad but he does have brown on his canines and back teeth. Any products we could try? I’ve seen drops that we can add to water. I’ve tried brushing them but it’s hard. He’s 5

The trick is to keep trying and lots of praise,my dog is very food orientated so gets cat treats as they are obviously the best treats in her eyes .Start off with toothpaste on a finger and just let dog lick it off .Then lick off a toothbrush and work up slowly till you can get the teeth brushed. My daft dog now tolerates an electric toothbrush. Yes it's not her favourite thing in the world but it's the only thing she gets the cat treats for .
Good luck

I have the groomer to do it! They use a special toothbrush so the first session is more expensive (because you have to buy a head that they will use only for your dog)

I plan to do this every 8 weeks.

I use Canident, a seaweed supplement, which has massively improved my 12 year old dog’s teeth. No brushing required, which is a bonus.

I use Plaque Off. They have an occasional big marrow bone to gnaw on & I also have the Emmy Pet sonic electric dog toothbrush with it’s specific toothpaste, it doesn’t vibrate & is silent.
