Small dog & SUV

I’m thinking of buying a compact SUV. I have a ten year old terrier who doesn’t like being picked up. If the car is too high for her to jump into is there anything that can help her get in? She travels on the back seat with a seat belt attachment.

A ramp. My cousin uses one for her elderly big dogs to get in her Rangerover. I imagine it would work to get into the back seat too.

Just checked there are a variety on Amazon starting at £23.

You want to get as long a ramp as you can so the angle is not too steep for your dog. Make sure it's grippy too.
I use a Solvit one and it's much better than the cheaper plastic one.
I also use foam steps if she gets out of the rear seat. I park as close to kerb as I can which helps.

Be sure that she will use it . I bought a ramp for my bullmastiff boy to get in my Q5 and he refused to use it .
