Poorly dog

She’s three and otherwise very well but currently has stomach trouble. I came down on Sunday morning and she’d been sick. Not that unusual for a dog, she’d had some different treats so put it down to that. She was fine all day and ate and drank normally.

Then again Monday morning sick again. Fine all day again eating drinking, pooing. This morning, no sick. Great! This evening sick again, several times.

I’ve just been and checked on her and she’s been sick again. However, she was delighted to see me. She’s behaving completely normally, she’s bright eyed and lively. She’s just run around the garden and had a wee. Back in bed now. I will see how she is in the morning. No food for her tomorrow, whilst we see what happens.

Poor thing, I’d get her to the vets tomorrow.

Poor thing! It's good she is eating, drinking and toileting normally though. My instict would be to get her to the vets with a urine sample....there might be some information in her urine?

Start writing down everything she eats. Is her food off? Has something got into it/contaminated it? What is she fed on?

Tummy bug ? Vets and then chicken and plain rice to eat.

What does DDog eat and at what time? Is it kibble and tney bolt it? Is it a big meal? If dogs can't digest huge amounts of kibble they'll sick it back up. Maybe try smaller meals, a slow feeder, feeding earlier. If you want to feed a light meal I'd give scrambled egg rather than chicken and rice.
If you don't feed kibble, maybe still try smaller meals. What breed of dog do you have? Hope Ddog is ok this morning.

Give her some plain cooked rice and make sure she’s drinking and is otherwise fine and it should settle in a few days. Mine had an awful upset stomach last week, it was somethings she had found and eaten but was back to normal in a few days .

She’s fine this morning. She hasn’t been sick again and she’s been out for a wee. I’ll ring the vet at 9 for advice.
