Meatballs?

My dog is bugging me for something, and I think it's the meatballs I've been cooking. I haven't given him any because they have onion in. Would one or two really harm him?

Don’t risk it. Give him a piece of cheese.

Meh, a tiny bit of onion in a cooked meatball really wouldn’t worry me in the slightest.

I thought raw onions might be problematic, not cooked onions. Am I wrong?

All forms of onion are toxic to dogs.

Are you confusing them with potatoes? They shouldn't be eaten raw, but are alright once cooked.

Both forms are toxic but the minuscule amount in a meatball isn’t going to be an issue unless the dog is tiny or has other health issues.

Thank you. Very useful to know. So zero onions. Like no grapes or raisins ever, could be very toxic. No gravy because it is too salty. No chocolate (I can't remember why).

There is always a new dangerous food for dogs and I often wonder what am I missing. Unless someone mentions by accident, it is hard to get such information.

I didn't know about raw potatoes either.

One of my dogs is obsessed with food and I can't even remember the number of times he's eaten cooked onions from stolen/found hot dogs or burgers. He Didn't want to touch raw onions if a bit fell on the floor whilst I was cooking, but I don't think it was self preservation, just didn't like the smell maybe.
