I have a 5 and a half month old puppy (Yorkie/Pom/Pug/Pekingese mix) who wakes frequently through the night. He sleeps in my bed with me.
I would have loved to have crate trained him but my daughter and I live in a tiny space and there's not enough floor space for a crate. Its a one level wood cabin with a small kitchen/sitting room area + 2 tiny bedrooms and a bathroom.
He has a woodland or cliff walk twice a day and is out in the garden every 2 hours (when awake) during the day for around 20 minutes. He has seriously high energy and is so hardy for a tiny dog. Equally happy in mud, streams and -5 icy conditions.
I feed him Bella & Jude / Wolfworthy raw diet, finishing at 6pm. He has constant access to water.
During the day he sleeps on and off between 10.30 and 3pm, then again at 7pm-9.30pm. Then outside for 20 minutes until bed at 10pm.
He wakes up at 2am ish and I take him outside for a wee/poo. Then he wriggles and moves around the bed having short naps for the rest of the night. I wake up whenever he moves.
I'm on my knees with exhaustion and and not sure what the next step is. I feel the only option is to put his bed on the floor beside my bed and just ride out the first few nights when he'll be crying to get onto the bed.
His best friend is our cat who he's obsessed with. She sleeps in the main kitchen/sitting room area where I've set up sleeping spots for her where he can't get to her.
If anyone has any ideas I would be so grateful, he's my first puppy.
