Nail clipping

My 4 year old lab hates getting her nails trimmed. I’m too hesitant to do it myself. It’s a proper game at the vets as she is scared and won’t stay still. Should I try a groomers? How would I know if it was a good one?

Mine hates it but I just take her to Pets at Home and pay the £10 - worth every penny!

Yes the groomers will do it, my dog hates his feet being touched we just let the groomer do it when he is in,

Try getting some liver paste, dogs go mad for it. One person puts it on their finger for the dog to lick while the other wields the clippers. My dog hates his feet being handled and is a devil over claws, but liver paste works a treat.

That sounds like a plan!

Yes we use the groomers at pets at home, it suits us it's open late

Get a tube of Primula and a person to hold it and squeeze, so dog gets something delicious while you clip her claws. I'd do maximum of one paw at a time.
