Is this a dog food company scam

hope I can’t get into any trouble with this post.
first of all I already spoke to them about an issue where they were leaving a lot of air in the packaging so what she’s getting is reduced.
I know no one made me buy it and seems to be really healthy.
I noticed that my dog had gone off this brand(years) after eating it for a while and I began hand feeding her with it again, and then I noticed that there’s hardly any meat in it anymore, and it’s mostly quinoa etc?
has anyone else had this problem or have I just got unlucky

In all honesty I've never heard of this brand and I'm a keen lover of fresh food - perhaps try a different brand?

Years is a very established brand, although relatively new. When I last looked, it scored as one of the highest on All about Dog Foods, for example.

I stopped using it a long time ago, as I felt it wasn't value for my money with feeding 4 mixed breed rescue dogs. The USP of including supplements tailored to the breed didn't apply, so they just got a generic version.

I'm not sure if you simply got a badly mixed batch or the quality has reduced. Maybe contact them to see if they can help?

(I feed a variety of foods available from Sabre Pet Foods. Particularly their Alpha Spirit, YDOLO and DARF ranges. They are either semi-moist or cold-pressed kibbles, not shelf-stable cooked fresh like Years. My 4 rescues are now thriving on these foods.)

Wholeheartedly agree with @Twasasurprise and strangely I also feed my dogs Alpha Spirit. It is really high quality protein-based food with enough veg and mineral additives.

I always want to know what the calorie count of the dog food I feed is - the fresh cooked stuff always looks amazing and healthy but veg and grains and other carbs can bulk stuff up without providing the nutrition dogs need.

i will say my dogs are always keen to scavenge and steal food on the Alpha/ Sabre food but meh, thats dogs. Gundogs especially are always hungry and very greedy.

Jaysus I just did their AI calculator for my dog, they wanted £140 per (female, spayed) 29kg moderately active dog every 4 weeks. Hahahaha. Absolutely ludicrous. I feed three whole humans nutritious, varied, fresh food for around £90 per week for all of us!

My current high quality cold pressed dog food comes in at less than £40 PCM. Even my friend who feeds high quality raw doesn’t spend more than £60 per dog per month.
