Millie’s Wolfheart for non working dogs?

We’ve got a 12 year old Shih tzus (spring that and active bless her) who loves Millie’s (and I love the oickuoable mess free pop) and now also a 14 week old Shih Tzu puppy who’s regularly ignoring her grain free puppy kibble to steal Seniors Millie’s kibble. Millie’s helpline say totally fine to feed both countryside mix or obedience mix but I wondered if anyone here has used Millie’s for non working or sporting breeds and also for seniors and juniors despite the food not being labelled as such for either?

Working dog food is nearly always the same stuff but sold in bigger sacks and labelled as "working dog food" to make it VAT free. I've checked this out with several brands - same ingredients in both their normal and "working" dog foods!

We have used Millie’s since our girl was a puppy nearly eight years ago. Had the working dog food for many years, until eventually we moved her on to the off season working dog food to help her shed a few pounds. Very happy with both.

Yep, we use this, we have a senior dog and he does really well on it

Thank you and the VAT thing was an eye-opener. I have now gone off and fallen down a rabbit hole of researching government legislation and you are indeed correct that in order to keep their products free of the VAT. They absolutely have to use the working and sporting label and they cannot divide it into life stages like puppies and seniors and so on precisely because of that VAT related legislation. I’m very relieved to hear that means my Shih Tzuwho are thriving on it and continue to thrive on it!

I am amazed at how many typos I managed to include in my OP. “Spring that” = sprightly. “Pop” = poo and so on

My senior dog has been on Millies her whole life and our pup has been on it since he was 6 months old. We mix raw and kibble (kibble in the morning and raw at night). We normally get Countryside mix or Riverside. I think it’s really good.

Agree with all the comments on here.
our Weimaraner is as far removed from a working dog as one could get 😝
