Cutest thing your dog does?

Mine has self appointed himself as glove remover when you come in. He is very very careful doing it, to only grab hold of the glove and not nip your hand. Takes off the first, holds it out for you to take then removes the second. OK he wanders off with his prize then, clearly very pleased with a job well done, but gives it up when asked.

Tell me you have a gundog without telling me you have a gundog 😂 Adorable 🥰

DinoLil · 23/11/2025 10:11

Nose boops for fuss. Get me every time. Not so much at 3am though!

DarkEyedSailor · 23/11/2025 10:15

Climbs up my chest, puts her paws on my shoulders and rests her head on my face. She's a very small Jack Russell terrorist (not a misprint) and when she's not being a stone cold poultry-bothering bastard, she's adorable.

CoubousAndTourmaIet · 23/11/2025 10:33

Every night when I say "are you ready for supper?" she climbs onto the sofa for a special cuddle before we go in the kitchen to dish the food. It's become a little ritual that we have a 10 minute sofa snuggle before supper/out to toilet/bedtime. She loves her arms (forelegs) rubbed and if I stop I get a whack with a paw. She's the squishiest thing imaginable ❤

PinkFootstool · 23/11/2025 10:41

Mine's a toy cuddler. Albeit looks slightly grumpy in this pic.

Our Jack Russell "Terriorist" (so true @DarkEyedSailor ) loved a poached egg.
We would make her one, cool it a little and she would pop the yolk by booping it with her nose until it popped.

Another thing she did was to come up to us and boop our calves with her nose, almost as though she was 'touching base' then go happily about her business. I've noticed other dogs do this too.

MotherofPufflings · 23/11/2025 10:48

Everything my dog does is cute but my favourite is how he will come up to me and put his little arms around my neck and press his face against mine. Sounds similar to @DarkEyedSailor and he's part Jack Russell, so maybe it's a breed thing. When we're somewhere new and exciting like a Christmas market, he will lift his arms up to be carried so he can see what's going on.

I also adore how excited he gets by helping to unwrap presents.

NormasArse · 23/11/2025 10:49

Mine snuggles into my armpit in bed. If a person was so close to me, I’d hate it, but his rhythmic breathing sends me to sleep 🥰.

The other one sleeps behind my knees.

I open the front door when I get home and I can see them both behind the frosted glass of the porch door. The three legged one bounces with excitement, and his ears fly up and down- it looks very funny. When he runs, his one back leg whizzes round like a propeller 😂.

CMOTDibbler · 23/11/2025 10:50

DH likes to get up at 5am. So ddog gets up with him, has breakfast, comes back to bed with me. At the weekend, when I wake up he knows that I'd get up to get a cup of tea and that will be the end of cuddle times in bed. So he gets up, goes downstairs, stares meaningfully at DH until he goes to the kitchen and makes me a cup of tea and then bounces back to bed all pleased with himself.
He also doesn't trust me to cross the road by myself, so sits and keeps looking both ways to check until there is no traffic or the crossing light changes.

Jellycatspyjamas · 23/11/2025 10:50

He herds me to bed every night, around 11.00 if I’ve not made “going to bed” movements he’ll come and paw at my arms and wander to the living room door. He’s a creature of routine.

Fuelledbylatte · 23/11/2025 10:51

Doggo 1; presses her head right into you for ear scratches and stays there. Melts me every time
doggo 2; squeaks and vocalises when she’s not seen you for a while- can’t contain her excitement bless her

Jellycatspyjamas · 23/11/2025 10:54

Mine also has puppy dreams. His paws move like he’s chasing something and he lets out little cartoon “woofs” rather than his proper barks - so very cute.

Mybeautifuldogs · 23/11/2025 10:57

My yorkie, Mavis, is a real lapdog, she is on me 24/7 which is absolutely adorable.

My St Bernard, Betty, sees this and also thinks she's a lapdog, she backs up and tries to squeeze into my lap, and snuggles her drooly chops into my hair.

Mavis then finds a spot, usually in Betty's tail, while I'm pinned and can't move, and may or may not have broken ribs 🤣

Honestly adore the pair of them.

Yes, mine too. He gets fidgety - he also likes to tuck me in (or rather check I'm in bed I suppose), lies a short while then takes himself off to his bed on the floor. I think cats I had growing up did this too.

Loving how the dogs are all looking out for us.

I’m constantly amazed how he knows from seemingly miles away if it’s one of his people coming home (tail wagging, happy, silent) or an evil delivery person (barking, jumping up). I find it adorable to see him waiting in the window wagging his tail furiously when I come home from work. Also that he quickly included DDs boyfriend into ‘our people’ and never barks when it’s him.
There’s a Dr John song ‘how come my dog don’t bark when you come around’ which is about how the guy knows his wife is having an affair because the dog doesn’t bark. That would be my dog for sure.

WhatATimeToBeAlive · 23/11/2025 11:47

She picks up clean socks and puts as many into her mouth as she can! She just holds them, and she's only a small dog. It's soooo cute. 😍

Lovemyassistancedog · 23/11/2025 11:55

@JamesWebbSpaceTelescope Was a PP right that yours is a gun dog?

I think mine would be that sometimes he stands still and looks at me and then I'll smile at him and his tail will 'helicopter'.

MissyB1 · 23/11/2025 11:58

My schnauzer uses her paw to tap us on our legs or arms when she wants a fuss, it’s literally tap tap tap till you give her lots of fuss. Will try and post a pic.

Mine lets me know when he wants what we call a ' backwards cuddle'. he positions himself next to me with his back sort of next to my chest, then gives me a little look then I say do you want a backwards cuddle Miles and he sort of flings himself backwards into me so that he is in the crook of my arm on his back . Then he extends his neck so that he can gaze adoringly at me. He will just stay like that for sometimes for up to an hour really chilled. When he was extremely scared of the fireworks recently it's the only position that he seems comforted by. He's a working cocker spaniel. I love him so much.

I don’t think so, he is a white fluffy mongrel so there might be some in there somewhere. Definitely some spaniel from the ears.

My dog does that as well. Tiny terrier. He gives proper hugs, the best ones ♥️

He also gives me a back massage every morning when I sit in my bed and stretch.

muddyford · 23/11/2025 16:53

My Lab does the helicopter tail. And he reverses, in a sitting position, onto my feet then stretches his head up and back for a cuddle.

Mydogisagentleman · 23/11/2025 17:02

Mine looks at me, sighs then checks whether I am making moves towards the door for his lead.
If not, he sighs for longer

Eight month old pup knows that human cuddles at certain times of day are just too exciting for him to resist mouthing us - unless he has a toy in his mouth. So as soon as he sees us in the morning he shoots off for a toy so he can be a "safe cuddle".
