Building up and old dog

My lovely boy is 15. Just snuggling him and I notice he’s getting bonier. He has a good diet with some treats but mainly old dog/ low fat food as fat gives him pancreatitis. There are loads of supplements available- has anyone tried and can recommend a low fat but bulking regime?

Scrambled eggs and sardines through my dogs food has helped and he seems to like them.

Kindly op, I think this is just aging, and possible muscle wasting due to slowing down.

Best talk to your vet , as he/she will know your boy’s history and can advise if a higher protein supplement should would help, I wouldn’t want to do anything that might upset his balance.

Oh yes! I know it’s inevitable 🥲
I was quite keen on a personal recommendation because the last supplement for his teeth I got from the vets he won’t touch.

You could just increase the amount of his food, if he's doing well on it.
Other suggestions:
Oats soaked in cold water over night.
Green tripe
Sardines in olive oil
A glug of olive oil on his food
Pasta
Egg - three times a week. Either raw, scrambled or hard boiled.
