Animal sanctuaries in Birmingham surrounding areas

I'll soon be in a situation to adopt a rescue dog. Hoping to find a small to medium one, approx 6 years old, to offer a happy and loving to. Its okay if they're nervous.

Can anyone recommend any animal sanctuaries in Birmingham or surrounding areas. I've found RSPCA, Blue Cross and Wythall. Any more I can try?

Dogs Trust at Evesham and also Kenilworth. They welcome visitors to go and view their dogs. We got our loveable lump from Evesham and they were really great through the whole process.

I'd recommend a retired greyhound - you'd almost certainly be able to find one around 6 years old and a good number would fit within the "medium" size range. There are various greyhound adoption charities around the Birmingham/West Midlands area - Hall Green and Home Run Hounds spring to mind.

I think we need a photo of said loveable lump Smile

I’ve just got a dog from Dog’s Trust. They were brilliant and the ongoing support they provide is invaluable (I’m a first time owner). All my future dogs are going to come from them.
