Dog beds

Where does everyone get their dog beds? I’m looking for something cosy, washable and reasonably priced.
DDog is probably a large, but £80 plus seems a bit much when I don’t expect it to last very long!
I’ve looked at Pets Corner and Pets at Home.

I’ve just ordered one from Dunelm which has great reviews and was about £25

In the sitting room they have a Ruff and Tumble bolster bed with washable cover. I get a huge discount through being a member of an organisation. For bedtime they have bog-standard plastic beds with vetbed.

Mine are currently loving the Donut beds from Amazon. Around £30 and allegedly washable but I haven’t tried yet.

I was looking at the ruff and rumble beds recently, are you pleased with that?
I was hoping when you mentioned discount, it was via blue light but can’t see a discount on there.
just wondering if they’re worth the money as they look really nice

we use hik9 raised beds, with a fleece top. The only bed that hasn’t been chewed!.
covers can be washed, and the dust/ hair falls through the mesh bed so good for keeping clean.

I get 15% off through a land-based organisation. Really delighted with the bed. The canvas is waterproof but I bought two of the washable covers to keep it clean. It's shared by a Lab and a springer spaniel. The staff are lovely too. Would buy more if I had a bigger house as they are bulky but good to look at.

Hi @lovemyaussie, you can try to have a look at pet empire for dog beds. They have very fine products with very premium quality.

Costco have great and large dog beds if you know someone who is a member.

I’ve also got a cheap donut one from Aldi that I got when he was a puppy- it’s not big enough for him now at 4 yrs old but he likes to lie across it.

i got a friend to make one that’s basically a fleece cover that I put a folded up duvet in and it’s all held together with Velcro

I got a free cot mattress from our local facebook group. Fleece blanket over the top. Job done.

purplehearts21 · 03/12/2025 19:55

Costco, my large dogs got a bigger bed than me and I think it cost 30 odd quid

Tuffies.
Cost a small fortune, but the cushions are waterproof so can be hosed down, the covers are easy to get on and off and fully washable (and still fit after washing). The mattresses last forever, and the covers do too provided you haven't got one of those dogs who likes a good dig at her bed before settling down. Then they'll last 3 or 4 years.

The base we have in use is about 8 yrs old and only started showing any signs of wear about a year ago. I reckon it's good for another decade at least.

I was livid when we were only using one dog bed and DH threw out the spare Tuffies...

Absolutely.👍

Was in Costco some years ago and spotted a lovely Wallice & Gromit "squashed sofa" dog bed.
Bought it and Ddog1 loves it. Sleeps on it every night and it still comes up clean & fresh. He can rest his chin on the arm, lie across it or curl up.
Unfortunately I never saw them again otherwise I would have bought a second one when Ddog2 came along.
