Seresto or Scalibor or something else

We're travelling to southern Europe later this month and have been advised to protect against sandfly. I'm finding conflicting information regarding seresto & scalibor collars, in terms of possible side effects. Some quite severe. I appreciate that any medication can have side effects, but does anyone have any experience of either. It's for a short-haired 28kg dog. The other option is the spot on advantix treatment.

He normally has tablets for flea/tick protection but these don't cover sandfly

I use seresto collars for my two for ticks every summer, it’s a very small sample, but I’ve had no issues with them

Same as @tabulahrasa , no issues and have been using Seresto collars for the past 10+ years.
