Just that really. Considering joining to make some extra money. Very dog experienced so that’s not an issue.

Would love to hear any experiences good or bad

I did for a few months last year. Had some lovely little visitors and enjoyed it, never had any problems with Rover/the app etc. I had 4 dogs over the few months I did it and although im no longer on Rover the 4 owners have stuck with me and I just do it for them now informally.

I use rover. I am already licenced and insured anyway, so river is just another channel, however rover don't check this, or make reference to the need to be licenced by the local authority.

I used Rover for a couple of years and it worked brilliantly for me to set myself up as a dog-sitter which i do to make some extra cash alongside my WFH job. One criticism is that, as a PP said, they don’t check if you’re licensed or insured (i am). I now have about 25 regular owners and just sit for them as i don’t need any more dogs and i don’t use Rover anymore but it was great to build up doing this as a side hustle. I make about £300 - £500 per month, depending how many dogs i have a month (i take maximum of two at a time). It has been an invaluable source of extra income and i love my doggy visitors.

Thankyou to you all. I was a bit sceptical especially when they wanted money to verify my profile but I’ll give it a go!
