Poorly dog - probind making her sick?

Hi,

Our dog (8 yrs, cross breed), has been Ill since last Thursday. Very runny poo/watery diarrhoea all weekend, acting like uncomfortable etc however was still eating/drinking and seeming quite bright.

Yesterday took her to the vet just to be checked over, although she was significantly better, so just for our peace of mind. Vet checked all round abdomen, blood pressure, dehydration and temp, all looked good apart from a tiny raised temp. Vet diagnosed likely colitis and suggested white fish and potato diet for a couple of days and prescribed probind which we started last night (she’s had two doses so far)

Had a fairly settled night, however woke and was whimpering to go out in the garden where she started eating grass. She then refused her breakfast.

Threw up about 2 hours later, and has been quiet ever since. Has now finally had something to eat.

I’ve been wondering all day what’s going on, why is she so up and down? Then it’s making me wonder about the probind?

Has anyone had a dog react badly to probind? I’m planning to not give her her evening dose to see if she improves

Any ideas would be much appreciated!

I'd say it's much more likely that it's caught up with her and she's feeling crap. If she's eaten some food (I'd go for sweet potato over normal potato) and drinking and still pooing (so no blockage) I'd let her ride it out assuming no big changes in her from now.
