Dog bed - what do you have?

Poppie is crate trained and has a lovely bed in her crate, plus a bed in our lounge so she can be on her own when we annoy her 😀. I need to get another for our bedroom for when we allow her sleepovers with her favourite humans. Do any of you have those anti anxiety beds? I was thinking of something fluffier than her other two beds. She's small to medium size.

One of those super fluffy doughnut beds. He loves it!

It’s a king size divan, high headboard, four pillows … oh hang on that’s mine, well I thought it was!

That's funny. I did go home yesterday to find she'd been snuggling in our duvet 😍

It’s how it starts……

This is the only dog bed my poodle cross has accepted. It it filled with fleece blankets that allow her to dig.

it's big, but she sleeps with her legs straight out. I have two - one upstairs and one downstairs.

Been there, done that, doing it again soon when new Ddog arrives in September… (can’t wait… even bought a bigger bed to fit DDog in! )

Mines a Doberman, we really need a Super King, it’s like sleeping with a garden rake!

What are you getting in September?

Same!

Ours sleep on the sofas during the day and over night with some occasional sleepovers in our bed too...we do have a bed for them too which our younger lab really likes when she wants a bit of her own space, it's actually two of our old sofa seat cushions with a fleece blanket that we wash regularly over the top and kind of wrapped around them to make a long Labrador sized bed! Its very comfy as I even lie on it with her sometimes 🤣

ACynicalDad · 23/07/2025 19:03

We have a couple of Joules Chesterfield dog beds. He's very happy in them, which is just as well, as he's not allowed on the sofa/bed.

RedDeer · 23/07/2025 21:10

Mine has a plastic dog bed with a soft mat in it. She likes to dig her bed before settling down. So we have been through a far few beds in her 2 years.

MarySueSaidBoo · 23/07/2025 21:25

We've got 2 Ivy and Duke lounger beds, extremely good quality and wash brilliantly. Then we've got a huge oversized Tuffies bed that they have outside on the patio in the summer. They've also got 2 Barbour beds at work under my desk. And travel mats on the back side of the car....

Little shits don't actually sleep overnight in any of them. They prefer my bed (superking) and I spend the night hovering over the edge trying not to fall out Hmm

Poobs2022 · 23/07/2025 22:00

We have a Nikki's Nestie. Covers are removable and washable and the inside is wipe clean tho I have hosed it when my last dog was elderly and he peed on it. We've had them for about 8 years now and still going strong for my new lab.

Mine doesn’t own any beds - he sleeps on the sofa during the day and under our duvet at night Grin

German Shepherd… I’ve had them all my life. We lost our darling girl to a brain tumour in June and I’m flattened by grief. Every day is difficult, but we’re having another floof ball soon, so thinking positive.
My brother had several Dobies, he loved the breed. I see your description is very accurate of a garden rake!😆😆

Yes that’s the awful side of dog ownership, I’m sorry.

German Shepherds are beautiful dogs, I hope your new addition brings you so much joy, which I’m sure will.

i love the fact your DB had Dobies, that’s great!

xx

That's what she has been doing although we do have a bed in our bedroom for her that we are looking to replace. She's a pain in the ass - was up and down under the duvet last night. I caught her early hours this morning standing over my oh trying to wake him up to lift the duvet his side for her. Her bed and blankets were scattered over the bedroom this morning 🙄.

We've got two lovely beds - one donut in the kitchen and another soft-sided one in the playroom, and ours resolutely ignores the pair of them and flops down on any hard surface for a sleep during the day. We had to take the soft mat out of the crate as she hated it, and replace it with a thin piece of vet-bed, which again she will happily pootle off and flop herself down on at 9.30...!

DinoLil · 25/07/2025 15:07

Mine 🙄
