UPDATE on collapsing dog.

I wrote a thread last week about my dog that had been diagnosed with arthritis and had started collapsing and was walking in a very strange way. I am sorry I don't know how to link it.
I took your advice and arranged an emergency appointment and saw another vet who was brilliant. She immediately arranged X rays and the result is my dog has ruptured cruciate ligaments in both back legs. Poor little thing she must have been in a lot of pain.
She is off to a specialist vet in High Wycombe next week to have a bilateral repair.
At least we know what the problem is now and hopefully it will be resolved.
Thanks again to those who replied. It made us get on with things.

Best of luck to you and your furry pal. I hope it goes well.

Sorry to hear this OP. Have you considered light therapy? I’d never heard of it before but our dog sitter recommended and after 3 sessions our 6 year old Vizsla really made an improvement. If your pooch has surgery it’s really good for healing too. I’m in Kent and paid £20 for a 30 min session once a week.

Wishing DDog a speedy recovery ❤️

Aw bless her. I wondered how you'd gotten on. I hope the op and healing goes well.

Oooh I hope you have £££££££s insurance cover. My doggo was supposed to go there but his insurance cover wasn't high enough.

Your dog will need lots of love and care when they're home. Wishing a speedy recovery.

Aw, poor wee soul. Hope all goes well and your girl has a speedy recovery.

If you have a good vet physio nearby, I highly recommend getting a referral to assist with recovery.

Hoping all goes well.
