Is it OK to switch between vets?

Our dog has been ill for a couple of months during which time we had taken her to our usual vet 3 times, had two urine tests and three courses of antibiotics. The vet said it was a UTI but the antibiotics didn't help. So I took her to a new vets' practice that has xrays and an ultrasound scanner. They have highlighted the issue - with a definitive diagnosis - and are suggesting a biopsy. As this vets is far more expensive and we've been with our old vet for 6 years, is it OK to swap back to our original vet to get the biopsy/surgery?

I don’t think I’d want to tbh if they couldn’t diagnose in the first instance are you saying your usual vet doesn’t have the scanner or X-ray? That’s been pretty basic equipment for a long time now, very long time.

how would they know where to go for the biopsy for a start?

All vets should be able to do scans and x rays so it sounds like the original vet is just a bit shit so I wouldn’t risk my animal in their care .

I'd stick where you are.
