Any interest?

Am putting my dogs on a diet. First a chihuahua, she needs to lose 1.5kg.
And my pug, she needs to lose 3kg.

Have switched food to the low fat version for chihuahua and will do an extra walk.
Pug is getting reduced food but no extra walk as she is awaiting surgery.

I used to feed kibble and meat. I recently scrapped the kibble (for allergy reasons) and substituted it for veg (broccoli, cauliflower, sprouts, cabbage, sweet potatoes). Without even trying, my dogs lost weight. He gets twice as much food now and spins round with excitement waiting for it. He also has an egg every day and an apple!

Hi, thanks. My pug has a million intolerances and it took me her whole life to find a food she doesn't get ill on so I'm just reducing it rather than changing it.

I will substitute treats for veg though!

Mine has loads of intolerance too. He can't have beef, lamb, pork, chicken, turkey, pumpkin and many others. It's been super easy to adjust to home cooking for him.

My beagle had to go on a diet during COVID - we just cut his meals by 25% and it made an immediate difference.
