Dog sitter day/overnight hours

Just wondering what dog sitters charge for over 24 hour stays? We have a lovely home boarder who takes our greyhound. We dropped him yesterday at 10am and picked him up this evening at 8pm. She has an overnight rate and a day rate. She's never very exact on hours for either but she told me early on that it's a day rate unless she goes to be herself. She's only charged me one overnight despite it being a day and a half. I actually want to pay her for the day as well as I don't want to take the piss but I'm curious what other sitters charge?

Well I use three dog home boarders and all of them wouldn't be doing pick ups at 8pm, so it would be a two day stay for us. Which is £45 for 24 hours. Day rate is £25 for 8am until 4pm.

Yes, we are absolutely blessed with her, whihc is why I don't want to feel like we are taking advantage. I know as a business owner it's up to her to set her terms so dh thinks I'm mad wanting to pay more than she asks!

Could you take her a nice bottle of wine or something? I'm sure she'll realise soon enough that she's underpricing her services but at least then you've shown you really appreciate her?
